Our story is built on over 25 years of experience in the New Zealand hi-fi industry.
Richard Sanders began his journey in 1997, leading the New Zealand distribution of Bowers & Wilkins under the ownership of Fred Harding. During this time, he built strong relationships with specialist hi-fi retailers throughout New Zealand and developed a reputation for product knowledge, integrity, and outstanding customer support.
In 2020, Richard took the next step by purchasing the business in partnership, with his wife Lisa joining the company. Together they began shaping a new vision for the future—one focused on representing the world’s most innovative and forward-thinking premium audio brands.
In late 2024, Richard and Lisa became the sole owner of Online HiFi, allowing the business to move confidently into its next chapter. This transition marked an exciting opportunity to invest in brands that are leading the future of high-performance audio.
Today, Online HiFi is proud to be the New Zealand distributor for JBL Luxury, part of the globally renowned Harman Group. Harman continues to make significant investment in research, engineering, and innovation, with JBL recognised as one of the world’s most respected names in premium audio.
