A recent reviewer said, “This unit replaced my 1 month old Marantz SR6008 which was serving as pre-amp to Musical Fidelity M6PRX my front main speakers (B&W Matrix 804) and power amp for surround. I most care about is the musical performance, while SR6008 was pretty good, it get muddy when playing classical symphony. After replaced it with AV7701, the sounds is much transparent and cleaner, and more linear from tremble to bass. Very happy with this upgrade. I did notice a bit more buzz sound on all channels, but it’s not audible from 4 feet, I guess I will have to live with it.”
