MartinLogan | Motion 60XT

Dominant floorstanding speaker with a Folded Motion® XT tweeter, black aluminum mid-range & dual 8″ woofers with rear-firing bass ports, and a luscious high-gloss piano black finish.

Motion® Series
Motion Series delivers extraordinary performance over a range of applications by combining superior thin film technologies with enhanced traditional components. From confident floorstanders, subs and gutsy compact speakers, to timbre-matched surrounds and ultra-slim multi-driver systems, the Motion Series extends the MartinLogan reputation for a richly detailed musical and cinematic experience at an unrivaled price.

Motion 60XT Floorstanding Speakers
The elegant Motion 60XT tower speaker is the most powerful addition to MartinLogan’s award-winning Motion® Series and is voice-matched with the entire Motion Series lineup.

The Motion 60XT speaker feature our advanced resolution Folded Motion® XT tweeter and have been designed with a luscious high-gloss piano black finish, subtle angled-top cabinet with soft radius corners and signature MartinLogan perforated grille.

A Versatile Performer
XT stands for extreme, and for good reason. Motion 60XT speakers play louder, lower, and with unflinching accuracy. Dual 8″ woofers and rear-firing bass ports create astonishing deep, precise bass, while a dedicated mid woofer promotes an open, revealing and authentic midrange. Paring this powerful trio with our most accurate Folded Motion XT tweeter creates audible acoustic alchemy that delivers an engaging and encompassing experience, cutting straight to the emotion locked inside your favorite recordings.

Each speaker feature dual sets of custom 5-way binding posts for bi-wire/bi-amp capabilities and powerful rear-firing bass port. Stability is enhanced to create tighter coupling between speaker and floor with the included spikes.

Engineering Genius
What makes the Motion Series sound so amazing? MartinLogan’s dedicated in-house engineering team started by utilizing and refining the most advanced, compact technologies and combining them with innovative engineering. The result is an emotionally engaging sound that rivals (and most times trounces) traditional loudspeakers of similar size and price.

Folded Motion® XT Tweeters
The signature Folded Motion tweeters utilize extremely low mass diaphragms that “squeeze” air, and require significantly less excursion than the typical 1-inch dome tweeter, which drastically minimizes distortion while providing a lightning fast response time. The increased surface area also provides a wide, yet controlled sound dispersion to create a realistic and carefully etched sound stage.

The low distortion Folded Motion XT tweeter boasts a radiating surface 40% larger than those found in the award-winning Motion® Series products. This substantial leap in size increases the bandwidth and efficiency of the high-performance tweeter for effortless performance.

Motion 60XT

"The strengths included great imaging, excellent bass and midbass presentation… The speakers would do very well in a home theater setup, as they have great dynamic range and integrate well with subwoofers… All and all they are a well-built, elegant speaker worthy of audition." Jared Rachwalski, Secrets of Home Theater & High Fidelity // Read the review here

"MartinLogan has a speaker that is wonderful for home theater and very good for music in the Motion 60XT... I imagine the Motion series is as close as we’ll get to a traditional box speaker from them with the AMT instead of a dome tweeter. The AMT excels with its speed and clarity. The dual 8” woofers provide plenty of bass...The Motion 60XT is a different approach for MartinLogan, but one that is very successful..." Chris Heinonen, Reference Home Theater // Read the review here

"Immediately, I was taken aback; the broad, sharply defined soundstage extended well beyond the width of the speakers, the vocals sounded eerily lifelike, and the instrumental timbre was natural, with a depth so palpable I could practically reach my hands into it." David Martson, The Absolute Sound // Read the review here
